General meeting & special guest

Our first General Meeting of the year took place on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023. All association's members were invited to participate.

During this virtual meeting, there was a presentation by our special guest, Michael Gruenbaum, who talked about his memories of surviving the Holocaust as a teenager in Czechoslovakia.

Mr. Gruenbaum recommended reading his book “Somewhere There Is Still a Sun" as well as his wife’s (Thelma Gruenbaum) book “Nesarim: Child Survivors of Terezin”, both available on Amazon.

Czech & Slovak Festival

The 34th Czech and Slovak Festival opened its doors at noon on Sunday, October 23, 2022 for all friends of Czechia and Slovakia.

We were proudly offering traditional Czech and Slovak meals, pastries, beer and plenty more. There were traditional sweets and goodies for purchase from vendors.

Everyone enjoyed music by the Slovak folk band Pajtasi, dancing, and fellowship.


The indoor event took place at the American Legion Hall in Towson, MD.

Slavic Heritage Festival

Our friends at the St Mary's Catholic Church and Historic Village in Joppa, MD hosted an Annual Festival on Saturday, October 8th. This annual festive event celabrates Slavic cultures and has plenty of entertainment for everyone.
